🆘Birth Control Options??⁉️

Hi,
I’m trying to find a good birth control to try out. I wanted to try the Depo shot but my doctor told me that the shot caused bone loss and depression.. Here’s some things about me that might help narrow some options down:
🌼 struggling with depression/anxiety 
🌼underweight (trying to gain weight)
🌼 have a hard time keeping an appetite

do not do the shot. ANYTHING but the shot.
honestly if you have a history with depression, i recommend the pill because after a few months, if it doesn’t work out for you you can stop it immediately and you don’t have anything in your body that will be hard to remove. i also have a history with depression and anxiety and it took me a pill or two before i found one that really didn’t make me an emotional mess but i LOVE the pill I’m on, i totally recommend the pill.👍🏼

I’d recommend the Copper ParaGuard IUD. I’ve been on it for 3 weeks and I really like it. No cramping, periods last 5 days. I was on the pill for 3 years and it made my anxiety so much worse. I also gained a lot of weight on it I’ve lost some weight from being off of it. The Copper IUD has zero hormones so it won’t mess with you.

Well i got diagnosed with depression whilst on the shot. Ive had depression in the past but I’ve never felt so low for no apparent reason before. If you are already depressed I really wouldn’t advise having it tbh, i turned into a really sulky, moody cow. 
Everyone i know thats had it, including myself, has gained weight on depo but its not a healthy way of gaining weight as you can’t actually control it (i was dieting on weight watchers at the time and still gaining). My friend actually went from an 8 to a 12 in a couple of months. 
Nevermind the fact it fucks your periods up. I didn’t bleed whilst on depo but I missed my 3rd shot and bled for 3 weeks, not had anything since January. My doctor says it could take upto a year for my periods to get back to normal, luckily I’m single and I don’t want another child, but plenty of women struggle with conceiving after having the shot.
