Question for SAHM regarding money

How do you deal with money in your household from the working partners wages?

Does your OH give you money for personal items you specifically need to buy when you need/want them? Ie clothes, make up, toiletries, hair/body care.

Or does your OH give you an “allowance” style of money each month say for instance you both have $100 disposable income each month to buy what you need

How does it work for you?

My maternity pay has now finished and we are exploring the option of me being a SAHM

I have always been quite independent with money and I don’t know how I would feel about asking my OH for money for “unnecessary luxuries” like a pedicure that I would buy out of my own money when I was working
