Died at 9 weeks

We have been trying for over 2 years and finally gave up. That same month that we decided to stop with the charting and actively trying, we found out we were expecting. But at the 7 week ultrasound, it was the size of a 6 week ultrasound. And at the 9 week ultrasound, the heart had stopped beating. We had a surgical procedure to remove it.

All in all, a horrible experience. What makes it worse really is all the people around me and my husband at our respective jobs all are having babies, baby showers, and are announcing pregnancies at very similar gestation periods with very similar due dates. It’s insanely difficult to be happy for someone who has something you’d just lost.
