Has anyone heard of primrose oil? If so, does it help soften the cervix prior to delivery?

I’m expecting for the first time and I was talking to my cousin who had said she took primrose oil orally and then a few weeks before her due date, she inserted two vaginally. She of course got the approval from her midwife. She said it played a role in her quick labor process and it helped her not tear.  I am just curious if other women have heard of primrose oil and have used it.

Yes I used it for my first and had a quick transition in labor and only had a small abrasion. I definitely contribute it to taking epo pills!

I used it my last pregnancy and will this time as well. Starting at 35 weeks :)

I used it with my first pregnancy and was in labor for 21 hours and had a second degree tear 🤷🏼‍♀️ 
I’m still gonna use it again this pregnancy

Yes! It helped me SO much with my 2nd daughter, I definitely plan to use it this time around as well!
