What should I study in university?

Hey guys, so I’m passionate about film, graphic design and journalism. But I don’t have time to study all three 😂 or else I’ll be in school forever. So please vote and give me some perspective!

Consider how you want your lifestyle to be. Journalism will likely require constant movement, seldom at home, sometimes in danger, etc. Film will probably require you to be in "hot spots" (LA, NYC, Miami, etc). If you dont like large cities or dont want to live in a cramped apartment, maybe thats not the field for you. Graphic design is more 9 to 5, you can have a life in the suburbs or in the city, you can proabbly take time off work to be home with the baby or go on vacation or whatever. Choosr whichever you envision yourself in more.

But like the other person said I recommend taking at least 1 class on each and also figuring out which has the best program at your school.

I only voted film because it has graphic design and journalism concepts incorporated in it. For instance, you can create skits based on certain topics (journalism) and design graphic illustrations/logos within your films. :) 🤷🏽‍♀️

If you’re working on your associates degree, then I suggest you take some of these classes as electives while you’re working on your general education. You can go to college as undecided and then later claim a major and a minor. But I suggest you take classes in all of them and ask your advisor as well as professors what they think about the profession. These people are suppose to guide you to your future. I also recommend trying to talk to graduate students about the course for each major. As well as looking into volunteering opportunities and internships. Volunteering and internships give you a more realistic look into the real world setting that you’ll be in once you graduate. I hope this helps 😊❤️
