Mom bods (and non mom bods)

Br

I’m constantly told I don’t have a mom bod and I shouldn’t complain because I’m skinny. I have a 5 year old... I gained 55lbs during pregnancy (5lbs more than my doctor wanted but hey).

We all see flaws in ourselves, regardless of size.

This is me. Whenever I complain about what pregnancy did to me I get shut down... why? Because I’m skinny now.

But mind you my body is so different from before hand and I’m so tired of other moms and women telling me I can’t complain because I’m skinny.

News flash, this is also my stomach. Stretched out, loose skin that carried a wonderful little girl.

My breasts are riddled with stretch marks and are “empty” stretched out skin now too.

My point... if a women is venting to you about her body and you see nothing wrong with it; please don’t dismiss her feelings because she’s “skinny”. We all have insecurities and sometimes just need to feel not alone in them.
