So I have been at my job for over 2 years now, always picking up shifts and always full time and reliable. A little over a month ago in March, they suspended me and told me I can’t come in due to an investigation going on. They filed a 51a on me and a couple weeks later DCF cleared me and said it was unsupported meaning no concern. Two weeks after DCF called with the good news, work calls and wants me to come in for a meeting. At the meeting they said they are “happy to have me back.” BUT they cant give me my position back as Assistant Supervisor. Instead I drop down two positions and am back at what I was when I first started this job, a residential counselor. My first night back (I do overnights), they write me up for posting on snapchat, “cant wait to leave work.” I have 2 jobs, which they are aware of. I did not write the company name or reason on snapchat. I ended up deleting my “work friends” on all social media. In the comment box on the write up they allow you to write a comment, so I wrote, “I was not talking about this job and I was implying leaving work for maternity leave to meet my unborn son.”

I just feel like they are trying to get me to quit before maternity leave. My hourly rate already dropped $2! It may not sound like a lot but it adds up and I was stressed about money before I got demoted, now I am overwhelmed!! I am supposed to get 3 months off for maternity leave which I plan on using and not going back to this job. My husband and I have had it and at the end of the summer we are moving to Florida. I am due June 8th and it cant come any quicker!! This whole 3rd trimester so far has been nothing more than an emotional rollercoaster for me. I just cant wait to meet my son and make it through these last 6 weeks of work before my job comes up with a reason to get me fired (because I sure wont quit until the last week of my maternity leave!)!!
