belly ring and high waisted pants

last summer i had my belly button pierced and had it pierced for little over a year. in the beginning it was fine and i loved it. however, i got it before my i met my boyfriend so when i got with him i gradually gained weight. i love high waisted pants and shorts, however it would press against my piercing and irritate to the point where it developed hypertonic scarring (the bump) and it got infected. i ended up taking it out. i am on a weight loss journey and for every 5lbs i lose i reward my self. so when i drop another 10lb i wanted to reward myself by getting my belly button repierced.

so i wanted to know since i’ll be slimmer will i be able to wear high waisted pants as my clothes won’t be as tight on me or is this a problem others face as well with high waisted bottoms? if that’s the case i probably won’t do it again
