sleeping through the night?

my daughter is still not sleeping though out the night and she’ll be 6 months on may 4th... she wants to wake up and play, be held/rocked back to sleep, or eat. i trying to let her soothe herself but she gets too worked up and then takes forever to fall back to sleep. when did you LO start sleeping through the night? i’m praying she’ll start soon, but at this rate i feel like this will be an on going thing.

My almost 6mo old never slept through the night and am not expecting it anytime soon... on a good day, i’m still up 5-6 times with her. I just accepted it (after having tried everything, except CIO), at some point she will finally sleep.. until then, i’m sleep deprived but enjoying the extra hugs...

My son will be 6 months on May 9. He has only slept through the night a handful of times. When he has slept through the night, I wake up multiple times wondering when he will wake up.

it was a shock when I learned that "sleeping through the night" meant a 6 hour stretch.  If breastfed,  it's more likely baby will wake to feed.  my girl has slept 7 or 8pm to 1 or so.  She nurses back to sleep every time she wakes.

Mine slept through the night around 4.5 months. I still do a dream feed though but it works for us.

Mines sleep through the night and will wake about 1 am for a bottle and right back to bed he goes, at first he didn’t wake for a bottle i don’t know why all of a sudden he’s back to wanting one. I want to sleep train but don’t think I’ll have the patience for it

after 2 weeks of exhaustion at work from 4.5 month old baby waking up at night to comfort nurse, i gave up and put him in bed next to me. he slept all thru the night. i did it all week and he slept 9pm to 6ish when id wake him up to nurse. after a week and a half of that, i started putting him back in his crib. he will sleep 9 to 3 or 4 on his own usually. thats how we eliminated comfort nursing. he doesnt wake up for it anymore. i can. rock him back to sleep within 5 min now. if i really want the full night's rest he sleeps next me. if i can deal with a 3am wake up call for 10 min then he's in his crib. not a popular method but it's worth a shot.

I think our babies may be growing through a mental leap/growth spurt. My son was sleeping through the night last week and then bam all of a sudden he’s awake multiple times. I know it’s exhausting but I always remind myself this won’t last forever. They just need mama 🤷🏽‍♀️

My son sleeps from 7pm to 530am. He eats and in most cases goes back to sleep until 730am since we have to get his big sister going to school. Some days he sleeps 7 to 7! It’s been pretty good so far. Some days he is up a lot but I believe it’s due to a growth spurt most times.

It’s not that common for babies to sleep through the night. If they are only waking once for a feed at this age that’s great. My first son didn’t sleep through till 16 months.
