40 weeks and had a sweep! Advice?

So I’m due today...had no signs from bubba that he wants to come out, had to ask my midwife for a sweep due to having a broken bone in my back and my bump being unbearable to carry! So, the sweep KILLED me, I was in tears but she said she felt the little ones head and my cervix is soft and I’m dilated...I don’t really get what any of this means, anyone help me out with what all of that means??

Good that she felt the head, the baby is putting pressure on your cervix so it should dialate  Soft is good, that means it’s ready to dialate. After a sweep you can go into labor within 24 hours. I did!  Good luck!  Do some serious walking or make love lol  It works!

the sweep is horrible. And if you are dilated you should of asked to be induced. That's what I'm doing tomorrow at my appt. My midwife did it for my last one so hoping she does it for this one as well. baby is killing my back as well. But good luck
