Posting this in a few different groups because I’m a first time mom and I want lots of opinions.

Is small gifts for the labor and delivery staff and nursery (postpartum) staff a thing? I’ve never heard of it until I was watching a video on what to pack in your hospital bag and one of the items mentioned was gifts for nurses.

I googled it and saw that some people do this and some don’t, or just give gifts to their Dr. A few examples I saw were chocolates, travel sized hand sanitizers and soaps, and baked goods.

So I’m thinking about ordering some small bath bombs and sea salts, maybe lavender and chamomile scented, and putting them in a basket and just asking one of the staff to leave it at the nurses station or put it in a break room if they have one. Same thing for the nursery staff. I’ll put a note on the baskets thanking everyone for their help.

Did you give gifts to the staff or do you plan to?
