best time to TTC?

Recently engaged and planning our wedding for next year in May! We are so excited to finally be together forever!

I’m here mainly to figure out my cycle because it’s a little confusing. But we just found out my mother has ALS and only a few years left :( it was completely shocking news. She’s been in great health for years but has been declining fast during the last 6-7 months. She can’t do stairs anymore and I’m worried about the future.

I am currently working with children as a therapist and I LOVE it! Children are such a blessing and being able to help is very rewarding. I’ve also wanted children for a long time. I’ve been helping with my nieces and nephews since I was 10! I think before my mother was sick, I was just excited that I found a man to help me start a family. But now, I feel like having children sooner is important to me. I want my mom to know our first baby. That means everything to me.

But at the same time, I want to be ready for a baby. I can tell y’all I’m about to be that extra af mom and I need to prep for that!! lol but is TTC earlier because of my moms heath not the best idea? I know for sure we will be trying next year after our wedding like crazy. But now I’m considering sooner. And possibly moving up our wedding so my mom can be a part in it :(

Sorry for the long rant but wanted any thoughts or ideas on this. I will be talking a lot with my fiancé as well to decide but could use other opinions or suggestions or thoughts!!
