So my husband and I had to put our 6 month old puppy Dexter down in March after he came down with a rare disease and became fully paralyzed and had a pulmonary embolism. It broke our hearts and our older dog Finn was so depressed. Fast forward to April and I meet a lady who saved 6 puppies from a box on the side of the road, and she happened to have one left. We intended on waiting but once we saw her, we knew she was meant to be ours. Finn is SO happy to have a baby sister and she is just perfect. Here’s Piper, our 10 week old Lab, Australian Shepherd mix, who was rescued from the side of the road on the date we lost our Dexter. I like to think he sent her to us.
