has anyone had a uterus biopsy?
hey there. I am 46 years old and have had heavy Cycles lasting up to 3 weeks sometimes for the past year-and-a-half. I had a biopsy done on my uterus a week ago and my cycle was not to start for another week and a half. Ever since I've had my biopsy I have been bleeding heavily like I am having a normal period. it is not unusual for my cycle to just out of the blue start another reason why I had the biopsy to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with my uterus. however, the other day I felt as if something was inside up past my bladder, those who have had natural childbirth know that sometimes you have a bladder prolapse. Well my bladder does not prolapse much at all so I knew it wasn't my bladder it is past my bladder and up further inside my vaginia is hard and feels circular almost like a cervix! I know this is gross, but to be safe I had to feel to see if it was something foreign. it's definitely something inside and is tissue. in order to have a biopsy done of your uterus you have to take a medication that opens your cervix as if you were having a baby. Then they enter a scope in there and look up inside your uterus and then cut a piece of the inside out. has anyone had this done before? If your familiar with this procedure what do you think?
