I was in one for 3 years and it progressively got worse. An abusive man doesn’t change unless something life-altering happens to him. He changed a tiny bit once I left him. But I still feel sorry for the girl he married. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t personally, I left mine. But my aunt stayed with my uncle no matter what he did to her and a few years down the road, he did a complete 180. Knowing them now, you would never guess he was abusive towards her at one point.

I pressed yes by mistake, because I read it too quickly. I thought he question was about leaving and finding another healthy relationship, because that's definitely possible. I don't think what you're asking is truly possible. Once the abusive patterns have been established, I think it's close to impossible to change it.

No. I left after five years and he almost killed me. I’m happier without him.

No never, they take it as you will always come back no matter how they act or treat you. It always got worse for me
