First date ever!!!!!!!!!

So I went on my first date ever today, and I am just reeling from happiness!!!! He’s two years younger than me (I’m 18, he’s 16) but he’s REALLY smart and really mature too. He can completely keep up with me (not to sound arrogant, but I’m very, very intelligent and not many people I’ve known can keep up with me in intellectual discussions without having to stop me and ask a lot of questions. Somebody being able to keep up with me without having to ask for too many explanations is a HUGE turn on for me😍) and we agree on just about everything we’ve talked about so far. He’s so fucking cute too!!

I’m in my first semester of college and he’s a junior in high school doing dual enrollment, so we met in class. I honestly thought he was super cute the very first day of class as soon as I walked in the door and saw him, but it took weeks for me to work up the courage to sit near him and then to talk to him, and I didn’t ask for his number until just a couple weeks ago. Of course it could have turned out to be completely superficial, but I knew I was done for as soon as I found out he likes Lord of the Rings and he made a comment about how the books are so much better😍😂 We’ve been texting for a couple weeks now and gradually getting flirtier. I asked him if he wanted to hang out and get coffee or something like two weeks ago, but his family keeps him super busy so we weren’t actually able to until today. Since we didn’t know each other as well when I first asked him to hang out, I didn’t phrase it in a way that suggested it might be a date, but we’ve been flirting much more since then so I really had no idea whether it was a date or not until today. (I mean, we actually only got to hang out today because he literally skipped all his classes but the one we have together to see me, so that was a hint too lol) So today we didn’t really do anything that special or romantic, we just walked all over campus and spent the day talking to each other about anything and everything. We didn’t touch each other at all, no hand-holding or even arm-brushing, and we didn’t actually flirt that much either besides a little gentle teasing, but God, I was so attracted to him all day long!! (And I made him blush several times, which was FUCKING ADORABLE.😍😍😍) But as we were walking around, at one point he said something about his parents having strict rules about dating and that they didn’t know he was skipping class or even that I existed, and I was like, “soo... IS this a date, then?” We went back and forth mumbling embarrassedly for a minute, I don’t remember exactly what was said, but we ended up settling on “yes.” I was just like, “Well, I’m glad we got that settled” and we just kept walking (I’m pretty sure both of us were blushing too lol). I would’ve liked to have talked about it more, but it was actually kind of perfect haha.

I like this boy so goddamn much, oh my God. I don’t usually get crushes on people I don’t know really well, and I don’t think I’ve ever been as attracted to anybody as I am to him. I’m really insecure in some ways, and even though we’ve both been pretty flirty over text I was still doubting whether he knew I liked him and whether he was actually flirting back or just, like, being a typical oblivious boy and not realizing the emojis he was using were suggestive lol. I was actually planning on asking whether it was a date, as casually as I could manage it, but I wasn’t entirely sure it was a good idea, and when we weren’t sitting that close to each other or outright flirting I had decided not to (until he brought it up). He was dressed really nice, and put up a decent fight when I paid for his coffee (the ladies in the coffee shop like me a lot and continually under-charge me, so I actually didn’t really pay for either of us lmao), but other than that the whole thing felt very friendly (aside from how attracted I was, lol), so I had kind of decided it probably was NOT a date until he said that about his parents and dating and I felt like it was okay to ask him.

Oh my God, I’m so happy!!!! I’ve never actually liked a boy and had him like me back. This whole thing is brand new to me (actually, he said that if it is a date it’s his very first and I told him it was mine too), but I’m so goddamn excited. He’s made a lot of comments about wanting to spend summer with me too😊😊 I could seriously explode from happiness. I know this was only the first date, but I feel like I’m in the happy-ending part of a Jane Austen novel. I’m so fucking happy that he likes me too, I don’t even know what to do with myself, besides ramble incoherently on the internet!😂

I’m sorry if this is just nonsensical rambling, I’m just so happy and I just want to tell as many people as I can!
