is it okay for your bfs family to be hateful

my bf of 8 months and I are getting pretty serious. I have 3 kids already from a past (abusive) relationship. my bf always sticks up for me but his family (mom, dad, sister, aunt, and grandma) are hateful and disrespectful towards me. they simply don't like me because I have 3 kids and I was married to the kids father. I was talking with his mother and told her I really want her to get to know me and my kids and have a relationship with me because I love her son and we want our own family together. she responded, "whatever you don't need anymore kids because you can't take care of the ones you have already so let's hope you're not pregnant because you don't need anymore kids you worthless bitch" a little side note: I do take care of my kids lol they're with me every day of the week except days they see their dad. anyway, I've kept my mouth shut so far, but I'm about to explode. am I wrong? 😕
