TTC the first time— LH/OPK tests?

Hey so I’m new to TTC (next month. Taking opk this month to get in the habit and learn about them)

Is it like pregnancy tests where you have to take them with FMU? Should I be taking them twice a day? I made a little chart to put them on like I’ve seen others do on here, but anyone have any tips?

We’re hoping to get pregnant as soon as possible, but I know there’s only so much we can control about that... I’m just wanting to better my chances from the very beginning. After 3 years of being financially spotty, 1 year of that on chemo for my lupus (thus unable to TTC even though we were financially good) I’m pumped and ready to try to knock this out in one go like those miracle women out there!

Before the chemo our birth control was Natural family planning, and we went 2 years with no pregnancy using that to avoid our fertile time, I hope that knowledge will help me know my exact fertile time now that we actually will be trying to get pregnant.

I’ll be doing morning temps, CM test (though I’ve never had much CM), cervical position, AND opk/LH tests.

Thanks for the advice!
