Where you considered high risk with gestational diabetes?

I had it with my first and I’m 5 weeks pregnant now..i do have pcos as well how did the doctor go if you had history of gestational diabetes ?

I had it with my first and took the glucose test at my first appointment with this one (9 weeks). I was diagnosed with it, so I started testing my sugars right away and following the diet - I've actually lost about 9 pounds so far (was fluffy before getting pregnant 😉). I will start having NSTs at 32 weeks, but they haven't mentioned extra ultrasounds to me yet.

Answer

You'll probably just get checked for GD sooner than you normally would. Then if you have it they will do monthly ultrasounds and start seeing you every 2 weeks at about 32 weeks and have you do non stress tests.
