Infected Nipple Piercings
Hey ladies!! So I got my nipples pierced back at the end of February. Unfortunately they are now both infected despite me following good aftercare. It seems all piercings I have had would become infected in the first few months of having them but they eventually clear up with a little extra TLC on my part. I’m just a little bit worried with my nipples, as it’s a sensitive area of course and I don’t want to cause them permanent damage.
My symptoms include; both of the left openings on each piercing have become slightly darker in color and swollen, they both emit a green tinted crust and are a bit more sensitive than when I first had them done. I know these are obvious signs of infection. My only question is if I should stick to a regimen of sea salt soaks twice a day daily or if I should go get antibiotics from my doctor. I don’t want to take them out, so that is not an option for me unless directed by a professional. They are not badly infected at all, just a little bit, so I’d love some advice from y’all 💖
Btw, my nipple bars are not tight at all, they may look that way because my nipples are relaxed which causes them to soften and flatten out. When they’re perky, the nipple bars have plenty of wiggle room.
Left nipple; the less irritated one, slight green crusting

Right nipple; little more green crusting than left and notice the swollen, discolored bump next to the opening
