Taking away pacifier 😒
Anyone else attempting to get rid of the pacifier? My son really only used it for naps and bedtime and sometimes in the car but I accidentally forgot it for daycare the one day and he actually did well. I’ve been taking him to daycare this whole week without it and he’s been fine but we are having a hard time with bedtime. The first night he went down without it. The second night took about 30 minutes to get him down without it. And last night we tried for almost an hour and couldn’t get him to sleep and gave in 😔. I really don’t want to keep taking 5 steps forward and 10 steps back but the poor boy just kept crying, boogies all over his face from being upset, and was so tired but just couldn’t get to sleep. The second I gave in he took the pacifier and went right to sleep. I tried the CIO method the last two nights and it doesn’t seem to be working. He will just keep crying. Even when I was going in to comfort him he just was so upset. I’ve heard about cutting off the tip of the pacifier. Has anyone tried that before?
