Women with hypothyroidism
I was just diagnosed I guess. Something isn’t right. I am going to school for my BSN so I am not completely clueless when it comes to a TSH panel and my free t3. My TSH is 2.830 and my Free T3 was 3.2 the reference range for my Free T3 is 2.2-4.2 so why in the world are they giving me a prescription for thyroid medication? I honestly don’t trust in this doctor at the moment. I don’t want to be on a medication unless I totally need it. She said that 3.2 is a little on the higher side for her liking and it means I am on the verge of hypothyroidism and my thyroid is working double time to produce hormones because it thinks I am low. I honestly feel at my best since having my son. Can anyone shed any light if they have any?
