Feeding problems in my month old
I’ve been having trouble getting him to latch on the nipple or a bottle. He gets fussy after it’s been in his mouth. He won’t take a pacifier at all and won’t even suck on my pinky finger. I’m not really sure what to do. I’ve mentioned his eating to the pediatrician but they couldn’t tell me anything but it being due to stress, but I’m pretty calm with this because it was happening on the second day of life and I’m able to handle it more than I’m used to. His eating effects his sleep and he won’t sleep during the day, only a few minutes at a time. then is fussy and eats every ten minutes. The longest he sleep during the day is 30 minutes and eats again. He sleep a long time at night when he doesn’t sleep during the day. The longest was nearly 7 hours and it’s nearly impossible to wake him up. He only eats when he’s half asleep. He wasn’t having any issue with eating the first few hours of life, and it seems to be getting worse. I’m not sure what to do the nurses say he’s not even hungry but there are times he eats only an oz in a three hour period and the will go without.
