milk allergy?

my girl is almost 6 weeks and over the last few weeks she's been super fussy. She spits up a lot and has a lot of blow out diapers. the past few days her poop has been green in color and today I noticed some mucousy blood in her diaper. any moms have any experience with this and know what it could be.

We discovered the blood in my son's stool before early on before he was really fussy. it was just weird to me that he had these green mucousy stools so the doctor had it tested at an appointment. I've been milk protein free since that point (to be clear, it's not a lactose intolerance, it's the milk proteins that are large and difficult for some babies to break down). I know it sounds really tough to go dairy free but it hasn't been quite as bad as I thought it would be and now my baby's stools are totally normal and he doesn't seem as uncomfortable when pooping. I definitely recommend getting your babys stool tested and going to the doctor.

My daughter had these symptoms and it was reflux. We changed her milk to a reflux one and changed to dr browns bottles and it helped a lot x

I would trial elimination for a week. It takes 3-4 weeks to leave your system completely and then another 3-4 to leave theirs but you will often notice a change within 2-3 days. For us we are still mucousy (but getting better) week two but within 2 days poo went from ninja turtles green back to yellow. If you do make sure to snap some diaper pictures of the stools so you can track improvement.
