implantation question

I'm not due for AF for 3-4 more days. I've been having some cramping and right side pain the last couple days and today (with no cramping at all at that point) I went to pee and when I wiped there was some pink spotting. I put a panty liner on just in case and there's maybe a dot or two on there. I have some very light lower abdomen cramping now. But I never spot before AF. Usually it's right after she's gone, I'll spot a little be done till next one. could I implant this close to AF?? I'm unsure how implantation works.
