just diagnosed with interstitial cystitis..

i went to the gynecologist yesterday because the past few months i've had symptoms of a uti and it just wouldn't go away.. we finally did a test to rules out cancer and other possible complications and they found out i have interstitial cystitis...

i don't really know how to react to it because they said there is no cure but medication could help symptoms elevate... does anyone know any thing about it or has it and knows any ways of coping? i'm really, stressed and worried about it because i have no idea how to take it... it's starting to depress me a lot because i have to change a lot about having sex, eating and working...
