Can birth control cause you to be infertile?

I’ve been off the depo shot for almost a year and we still haven’t had any luck. Can the depo cause infertility? I’m starting to get nervous. I don’t know what to do.

On average it takes one year for return of fertility after stopping Depo. I wish more gynecologists told women this upfront. Wishing you luck and baby dust! ✨

It took us 15 months after depo, and that pregnancy ended in mc. We’ve now been trying again for the last 7 months without success. My doc said average is around a year, but can easily take 18 months or more. I wish I had known before I got depo! My body has never been the same since.

I didn’t ovulate after coming off BC so my doc recommended clomid which helped get things going.  Track with ovulation predictor kits like clear blue.  I got my tubes checked as well just as a precaution.

I was on the depo shot for a year and got off of it and it took me almost two years to conceive im currently 11weeks. So dont worry youll have your rainbow baby ☺️

No it doesnt cause infertility, dont stress! Are you using ovulation kits? Might want to try those and see if you are ovulating. If not, check with your doctor. You might just need some help getting regular cycles again.
