Is it normal for baby to have hiccups every night around bed time at 34 weeks? His movements are great. He’s very active.

I read on another post saying that when babies hiccup too much inside the womb it can be related to the cord around the babies neck. I’ve looked up information about this, but haven’t really found anything at all.

The vagus nerve is the last togrow in growth spurts! It controls the diaphragm and causes hiccups when it is stretched. Fun fact 😊

My daughter would get hiccups at least 3-4 times a day once they started (can’t remember how far along I was). It’s totally normal and harmless

That sounds like an old wives tail! Lol. It’s totally normal. My son had the hiccups all the time in my belly. He came out and had the hiccups all the time too. It was so cute. Lol.

My son had hiccups multiple times a day!! I had ultrasounds done every week in my last trimester because I was high risk (GD) and his cord was never around his neck. When he was born he came out with the cord around his neck and body, but my ob was able to slip it off. I had an ultrasound 3 days before I was induced and the cord was fine. I think he got wrapped up in it when he came down and I started pushing.

Girl my son was a hiccuping fool in my belly and he's 6 weeks old now and still hiccups all the time! His cord wasn't wrapped at all.
