Baby Wearing versus Lugging Car Seat

FTM here. Am starting to think about car seats and strollers, but I am really opposed to carrying a car seat around when I am mobile with this baby. I don’t even want to take it out of the car to snap it on a stroller. It seems like 30+ lbs of lifting every time.

Is it unrealistic for me to take the baby out of the car seat and use a sling/baby wearer as I go run errands and then put Baby Bubba back in the car seat when I get back into the car?

Need some honest opinions here! Please help me out! Am I being practical or just plain silly? Thanks!
