mama roo???

I am having baby number 4 In August and i have decided that here in the next few weeks I'd like to start buying baby stuff. I looked at the mama roo before but got my last baby a cheaper swing from walmart. Has anyone bought the mamaroo4 and is it worth the money? pros , cons and reviews?!!! I don't want to spend money on a product if its not worth it.

I was offered a free one from the company and ended up turning it down for a few reasons. First, I didn't want to start that sleep habit. We never bought things like swings and rockers and all that. They're just not necessary to me. And second, I had a few friends who also got them free from the company and they hated them. They were SO happy they didn't spend their own money on it. Their biggest complaint was that it was super slow and had a weird pattern to it that just wasn't soothing for their little ones at all. BUT I also have a friend who loves and swears by hers. Every baby is different.

I got a used one off Craig’s list. It’s random if a baby likes it or not. And Craigslist and offer up are full of used mamaroos that were barely used because the baby didn’t like it. My baby occasionally seems to like it. It’s worth the $50 I paid for it, but it’s hard for a baby item to live up to a $250 price tag.

My daughter used hers and liked it until she was around 4 month. I only bought it because I got an amazing deal for a new one and it was “only” $110 with the newborn insert, and I hope I can use it for another baby. But after seeing other swings at friends houses, I don’t think I would buy it again and it’s not really worth the extra money.

I got it as a hand-me-down. My LO liked it for about a month and he has hated it since. But every baby is different and have their own preferences.. my baby prefers my arms. 😪 I am thankful I didn't spend the money for it. I have MANY friends who's children have loved the mamaroo though.

We have one, I like it, my son liked it and I plan to use it for the next baby if he/she likes it too. That said my son liked a $20 bouncy chair from Walmart just as much. 
Is it worth the money? I don’t think so. We got it as a gift though, and hope to use it for multiple kids, we did use it a lot with my first so I certainly don’t think it’s a waste. 
I have known babies who didn’t like it and hardly used it. There are certainly more affordable options that get the job done.
