Swimming 10 days after D&C?

Question

Can anyone tell me if it’s safe to use a pool 10 days after D&C;? I just had mine on 4/18 my doc said since I’m no longer bleeding it’s fine but originally they said two weeks so now I’m confused. This has just been awful and wanted to relax a bit but don’t want to go in the pool unless it’s safe since obviously I don’t want an infection.  It’s a pool in a hotel too if that makes a difference.

After all my D&Cs; I avoided swimming (pool or at the beach) until after I got my period back. 
You might not have to wait that long though. Just call your doctor and ask how long they suggest you wait for certain activities.

I had a d&c; on the 23rd of this month. I was told 2 weeks. I wouldn’t risk it. There’s a big risk of infection, especially since you don’t know what/who has been in the pool.

I had my d&e; on Thursday and was told no swimming/baths for 1 week.
