Spotting on birth control ?!?

Alexis

Hey, I was just wondering If I need to up the dosage for my birth control. I don’t even know if that’s a thing?

Background- I’ve been on this birth control (Osella) for about 8months and it’s been working perfectly fine. I manly use this contraption for my skin (acne) which it helped clear up. However a noticed like a week ago my skin started freaking out and I was breaking out near my chin and cheeks (I normally don’t). Than 3 days ago I had break through bleeding only for day. I had my period two weeks ago. This has never happened too me before, so idk if that means the pill isn’t working properly anymore or not ?

The only ideas I have for the breakthrough

bleeding is

- diet- I generally eat a very good diet, I’m already dairy free before taking the pill and during. However this past week I changed my diet and added way more greens and vegetables than usual, but I started eating less than normal. So idk if that changed it. I normally eat a lot for an 18 year old girl but I still eat healthy, its manly to maintain the weight I gained from working out which I like.

And gaining weight (from 125-139 about almost 140)- it’s healthy weight and not from the pill, but working out manly in my legs and butt and boobs.

The only other idea I can think of is vitamin supplements I’ve been taking for my skin as well called trueclear.

(For almost a month)

Idk if this had any interaction with the pill that’s negative?

So idk if I should talk to my gyno about this ?

Or it’s nothing ?

I don’t necessarily want to change pills cause it’s worked great for the longest time but now my face is freaking out for some reason ?

Thank you, if u can give me advice, its stressing me out :)
