If it's only one or the other though definitely happy... what the point in having money if you're miserable?

I feel like being happy is just one of the many emotions you have and emotions come and go.
You could be where you want doing what you want and not always be happy all the time. Or what makes you happy could be bad for your health.
Idk my parents always encourage me to pursue my passions however weird they might be but they are practical with me too. They never said “I just want you to be happy” and I don’t get that saying.
In this poll I picked rich because when you are wealthy you would have the time and resources to pursue your passions without having to have a job just to pay the bills

Not gonna lie, I want them to be both. My family didn’t have any money until I was about 8/9 when my dads business took off. He became very wealthy and my most of my life I’ve been able to buy pretty much whatever I’ve wanted. I like being able to do that. I don’t want my children to struggle with money. Growing up, we did have a lot of money, but I wasn’t happy. So of course their happiness is more important, but I’d be lying if I said not having a lot of money would be perfectly okay with me. It scares me because for a while, money was all I had. My daughter has a bank account with enough money to start her early adult life off with and I’m glad she’ll have that when she turns 18. I will be sure to teach her the value of a dollar, but I don’t want her to worry about if she’ll be able to go to college or not.
