When are you having your baby shower?

Mine is on May 12th and I just looked at my registry and only a few things have been bought. Is this normal? Im so scared that we won’t get anything we need.

with my daughter we mostly got clothes and like 3 big items so what we did this time was buy the big stuff ourselves 
So we got 
The diaper bag 
Car seat canopy 
Drying rack 
Mamaroo
Bottles 
Bottle warmer 
Bottle sterilizer 
Blooming baby bath 
And his coming home outfit 
So all we really need is the stroller and car seat which my brother is getting for us 
And clothes which is probably what we’ll get from the baby shower

Ours is 5/20. Many people use the registry as a guideline, not a rule. They’ll get ideas from the registry and then go buy stuff elsewhere. We’ll update our registry after the shower and use it as a shopping list to get whatever remains that we need :)

I have sooo many clothes for my daughter already. Literally from newborn to 18 months. She is pretty much set.
I put no clothing on my registry. I used both Amazon and target, but I tried to put only what I really need. My one pro tip was that I made the target one have everything that's available in our small town target. I know a lot of people wait until last minute and not everyone is into Amazon.
My baby shower is in a week and I am going to try not to peek at what's been bought anymore. I want to be surprised!
I expected people to not use the registry. I'm surprised people have been using them.But hey, if you don't get what you need you'll have to buy it. It's your responsibilty. It sucks but its true. Also, if you get tons of clothes- bring them in for store credit to go towards what you need.  
Baby showers can be really helpful but I would be thankful for getting things at all.

Mine is on May 12th as well!! I haven’t checked my registry but from the baby showers I’ve gone to most guests buy what they think you’ll need. I always try to buy something off of the registry and then I buy a couple of outfits as well.

I just had my baby shower and checked my registry the morning of and only three things had been purchased. Surprisingly though,  almost everything I received at my shower was from my registry....they just hadn’t checked it off!

my mom is throwing mine but 2 weeks after the baby is due. as I already have everything and it would just be things like diapers and towels and the smaller stuff that I would need to stock up on

I’ve also heard that a lot of tikes stores are terrible about checking items off ur registry when it’s bought.. so that could be the problem.

I’m due July 15 and mine is June 16th.. I’m worried mine is too late.. just hoping baby girl doesn’t come early.. meanwhile I can’t get anything ready for baby till after baby shower since we registered for everything.. so I will have lots to do in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy if she doesn’t come early..

I’m due July 24th my mother and mother in law are nothing giving me a shower one one the 5th one on 19th and only 12 things have been bought from my registry
