I need major advice, so I started talking to this boy and we really get along, he’s a great guy. But I found out couple hours ago that he’s turning 21 in November and I’m only turning 17 in 2 weeks. I really do like him but what if we get serious how do I even tell my mum that I have a 21 year old boyfriend ? I dunno what to do. But he really wants to try. Am I just being a bitch Orr is it Better to stay friends ?

When I met my husband I was 17 1/2 & he was 20 about to be 21. I’d say wait until you’re 18 till you “seriously” date. I didn’t wait till 18 and it was just a disaster. Properly introduce him to your parents & get all that out of the way at the very beginning. Because I didn’t wait till 18 my husband had a rougher relationship with my family at first. 2 years later and him & my dad are finally starting to get on a speaking basis.

my boyfriend and i are 2 and a half years apart (i’m 15, will be 16 in june and he’s turning 19 in november) and lots of people told me not to because i’m a minor and he isn’t, but i my parents and his parents were fine and we were fine with it. i feel like if you are comfortable with it and your parents or guardians are also, go for it!! it’s all up to you and that age gap is not a lot

Hey girl, I met my boyfriend when I was 17 and he was 21. We have an age difference of 3 and a half years between us, people are always shocked when they hear this. We don't really look it though. We get along really well, boys tend to mature way after girls do, so the age difference doesn't really do much. We're both in college, he's almost done and I'm halfway done. Nothing stops us from planning our futures together. I say go for it, worse comes to worse you two don't get along and break it off.

Honestly you should stay friends and maybe when you’re older (18) then see if those feelings are still around.
