Miscarriage at 5 weeks - question

So I officially found out Thursday I was miscarrying at 5 weeks ... my levels had dropped to 44 and had some bleeding ... my question is should the bleeding be super bad ? Honestly I feel like its a normal period but I see little stringy things here & there (tmi) but I am worried it should be worst than it is bleeding wise ? I had bad cramps which I normally don’t have with my period so it was pretty intense for me but I just am worried I am not bleeding enough and that my body isn’t going to finish miscarrying if that makes sense ? I plan to TTC as soon as I stop bleeding ... also does the doctor need to check me this early on to make sure I passed everything? The ER is who told me I was miscarrying so I am just lost. Thanks
