How do you know your partner is THE ONE?

I just get my doubts and I know that’s a sign that he’s not the one...

I do not believe in THE ONE. It sets people up for disappointment. The fact is that there are multiple people with whom I could have a successful long-term relationship (a marriage even). What matters are relationship dynamics, healthy communication, common goals, attraction, timing, but most importantly, continually choosing each other.

I firmly believe in trusting your gut. For me, when something isn’t right, that often manifests in feelings of doubt and uncertainty. I think that’s pretty common. I felt it with the guys I dated before my husband, and I am SO glad I didn’t push aside those feelings and just settle. I’m glad I waited until it REALLY felt right.   
With my husband, I just felt this sense of peace and trust. Sure, there might have been some questions— particularly in the beginning— but even then, I was overwhelmed with this feeling of just knowing it would work out as it was meant to. I had never had that before with anyone else. And maybe not everyone experiences that. But I absolutely, 100% did. 
If I were you, I would just really try to examine where these feelings are coming from and whether or not it seems your gut is trying to tell you something.

I knew, when I was willing to put up with disappointment. See, everyone will disappoint you in some way or another. Everyone will hurt you. It's life. My husband did disappoint me. In a very big... big way (and no it wasn't cheating). It was before we got married. It was very much a "make-it or break-it" type situation. I realized he was the one, when I still truly loved him despite the disappointment. That, no matter what, I wanted him in my life, and I would put up with WHATEVER bullshit he'd possibly put me through (except for cheating, physical, or emotional abuse. I still love myself, and wouldn't let a man disrespect me like that). I could not imagine a life without my husband. Never could, because we were best friends way before marriage. You really do just know. But don't think those feelings mean he's not the one. Everyone has their doubts at some point. But could you truly see yourself looking at this person, across your dining table every morning, for the next 50 years?

We simply knew it. Since we first met I didn’t have any doubts, any concerns. We clicked.

I personally didn't have to question it. I just knew I wanted to marry and gave babies with him. He makes me so happy and he truly shows me he lives me and us dedicated to me and my sin each and every day. Relationships do take work but it shouldn't take so much effort and there should always be a balance. Good luck on making your decision.

I don’t necessarily believe there’s only one person for you... But I do believe you’ll know when you find someone who’s the person you’re going to want to spend the rest of your life with
