Scheduled Csection Mama’s

Those of you who have scheduled your csection, you have you told or plan to tell?

I’m kind of struggling with this. When you have a baby naturally, no one knows when you’re going to go to the hospital (unless you tell them on your way). I want the excitement and anticipation of that. But, I also understand that it’s major surgery and family would want to know and could be upset if they knew you had it scheduled.

The way we have it right now we are telling our parents and siblings the week prior. We will also tell some close friends.

Just curious what others are doing?

Also, for those of you who have had csections before, what’s the polite way of telling people you don’t want visitors until day 2 in the hospital?
