Vaping and airflow?

Question

When I open or close the airflow on my mod it makes this weird sound as I’m turning it like some dirt is stuck in there out something.  How do clean this out ?

they make little wire paintbrush looking things for cleaning out parts of a mod. but if you dont have one of those, can take the tank apart and clean it with water (do not get coil wet) and dry thoroughly with a paper towel. another alternative is cotton swabs with alochol.
