Rash/irritation from Xulane patch?

Hi! I’ve been using the patch for almost 5 months now and for the most part I haven’t had any issues. Today, however, after taking off my patch in order to switch to my 2nd week I noticed almost immediately that the spot where it had been was irritated and itchy. About 20 minutes later it no longer itches but stings and seems to be developing a rash. I know irritation is a common side effect, but after 5 months on the patch I’m wondering why I’m only experiencing this now, and if some outside factors might have contributed to it? I recently switched to a new soap and I’m wondering if it’s reacting with the adhesive on the patch.

Does anyone else use the patch and has experienced similar issues? Also, if so, do you have any advice in terms of relief for the irritation? I put some aloe cream on it and it seems to be stinging less, but it’s still super red.
