What are your thoughts on offering to buy a guy a drink at a bar as an ice breaker?

Last week I was out with friends and noticed a cute guy across the bar. I decided to take a chance and make the first move and offered to buy him a drink. He seemed really surprised by my offer and accepted it. Today he mentioned that he found it really attractive that I made the first move. He said he had never had that happen before and he liked my approach lol. I'm curious to see how many of you ladies have or would do something similar.

I think it’s good when women make the first move. Just make sure you leave room for him to make moves on you so that you aren’t the only one making the moves.
