Sooooooo we're pregnant and expected arrival is Jan 1st! 😁 Newlyweds and our first child. I got the bloodwork confirmed and couldn't WAIT to share the good news with hubby. He was in complete and total shock like I was even though we've been trying, it's still just shocking to finally see a positive pregnancy test. Like wow - this is happening. So here's the dilemma......................... now that he knows, I told him that I don't want to make the announcement to anyone untill I'm 5 months but that I did want to tell my mom and my sister for the support. I have 2 brothers as well but I don't plan on telling them till 5 months also. This is my first child and I have NO IDEA what my body is about to go through, so I need women in my corner who know me, my medical history and that I feel comfortable sharing graphic details with...sorry but not sorry, that does not include his mother. He was pissed about that because he feels like that it's not a secret and not fair to his family. I told him it's about what is fair to me and that as a woman I actually think she would understand my want for privacy till a certain point. He seemed to drop it and accept but I can tell he's not happy about that decision. Haven't told my mom and sis just yet. Am I an asshole for this? Anyone else deal with this?
