6 years together

So my marriage has been shit. We got married In July after 5 years together and since then he’s been acting like he owns me, even getting physically abusive. We even separated, I had divorce papers printed and signed. But he’s really been trying to be a better person, so I’ve stuck it out. He put me in the car and took me to the beach as a surprise for our 6 year anniversary this weekend. He still has jealousy and insecurity issues, but he’s been trying I can see that. I now have a gym membership and I’ve been going out with friends and wearing whatever the hell I want. I even told him I’m going on a girls trip with my mom and he was supportive. This is the room I walked into. It came with a card thanking me for never giving up on him and that he’s working on being the person I deserve. We have so far yet to go as a couple, but I’m proud of him for trying.
