If you could choose to be induced ASAP would you do it?

Question

I personally wouldn’t (I was induced for medical reasons the first time and it was awful), but I see lots of women wanting to be induced so I wondered if it’s just my perception or really the case.

I was induced due to my age. I almost didn’t agree though. We knew our daughter was going to be ok, as we had a word from God! I wish I’d stuck to my guns and not been induced as it ended up being a 60hr process from start to finish with way too many medications in my system. Both of us are fine, I just wonder what a birth without induction may have been like.

I was induced due to high blood pressure and though I have nothing to compare it to as this is my first baby, it wasn’t THAT bad. From induction to birth was just under 24 hours. I did get the epidural which was a godsend because the contractions do come on quickly when induced so they feel more painful than if I.t were to come on gradually. Was able to have a vaginal delivery and all went well! Good luck mama!

I had to be induced a few days ago due to doctors advise the whole experience was exhausting. From having the foley ballon to not having room a the hospital and being sent back and forth. I was finally induced Thursday and had him 9 hours later . I would recommend only being induced if needed due to medical reasons or if the doctor is advising it .

I was induced for both babies for being past due and concern for placenta health neither were bad but I was overdue both times just seemed my body needed help getting started.
