Could I be pregnant?

Question

I started taking birth control almost 2 weeks ago. My doctor said I should be good after a week of taking it. However, I had unprotected sex BEFORE I started taking the pills. It was like a few weeks I was prescribed the pills. The dr had me do a pregnancy test but it was negative. However, I am starting to show symptoms and my boyfriend is starting to pick up on that I might be pregnant. My period lasted 2 days but was abnormally light. I’m sick to my stomach. I have headaches. I have never been on birth control or been pregnant so I don’t know the difference... I’m tired a lot. I have no energy. I’m scared out of my mind.
Update: I am now starting to spot and I am in my fertile window

your symptoms could be side effects of the birth control  (which will normally get better as your body gets used to it). but you definitely need to take a test asap! and read the info that came with your birth control. I was always told use back up contraception for the first MONTH.

Take a test ASAP and if you are then you need to stop taking your birth control pills and make an appt with your dr

If your doctor made you take a test AFTER you had unprotected sex and it came up negative AND THEN you had a light period, you’re probably ok. Your symptoms sound like side effects of the bc and you might think they’re pregnancy symptoms because it’s in your head already. If you truly think your pregnant take another test but I’m sure you’re fine.
