Any surprise labor baby’s?

Anybody’s OB not check for dilation all for you to go into labor spontaneously? I haven’t been checked in a month, I’ve had contractions, been to L&D; and I feel like I’m sporadically just gonna go into surprise labor......

Dialation before actual labour doesn't indicate impending labour. More care providers are moving away from cervical checks because it doesn't predict anything and can increase the chance of infection.

The midwifery program I used in Australia during my first pregnancy, refused these kinds of checks. They are deemed unreliable and the have a risk of infection. It seems like a cultural thing, the US seems mad for them.
