No one came to my baby shower:(

I sent out about 50 invitations to my baby shower. Only about 12 people came and five of them were helping set up. I’m really sad because I had SOOO many people tell me that they were coming then not show up and not even say anything. I also had people I didn’t plan to invite that ASKED ME to send them an invitation and didn’t bother showing up or anything. My friends spent money on that and I felt like crap and still got up and spent hours getting ready to show up and have no one there. Why do people do this? Couldn’t anyone have at least let me know prior to the day of. Even my sisters canceled last minute.
