How to get clomid?

How easy was it for you doctor to prescribe you with clomid? Did you have to go through extensive testing? Was your SO tested? Is there a generic alternative over the counter? Thank you!

My obgyn prescribed it to me along with metformin. Some people don’t like the side effects, others it depends on your doctor. Just sit down and talk to your doctor about it and have him/her listen to you concerns.

My OBGYN actually prescribed me 3 rounds of Clomid before sending us off to the RE. May be worth it to ask.

I went to an re as well And had all the testing and hubby was tested. we are unexplained infertility and given Clomid this month and will do our first iui this week. I originally asked my gyno for it and she said no since I ovulate regularly on my own but my re said absolutely that's where we are starting.

Saw the RE , ruled out infertility possibilities with blood work, making sure tubes were open, husbands sperm analysis then when everything came back and we decided to go for iui he just prescribed it to up our chances
