Too early to post on fb?

I’m barely over 5 weeks. My bf’s sister already posted on fb about us... I had a miscarriage in February so I’m like way hesitant to say anything! Do you think it’s too early?

Do what you feel girl! We announced to family at 6 weeks (when we found out) and Facebook at 7. Yes, there is a risk that a miscarriage can occur. But for us, we felt like celebrating our little bean for as long as we had him. We decided before announcing that if we did have a miscarriage we would want the support of our family and friends and be vocal about our journey. Miscarriages aren’t anything to be ashamed of. They are messy and painful, but nothing that we can’t talk about like we would any other loss. But that’s what felt right for us. Luckily, we are 34 weeks with a healthy little boy coming soon! Do what feels right for you and your SO and don’t let anyone influence you otherwise.

Congrats!! But I certainly wouldn’t be happy if someone else posted on Facebook about my pregnancy. We didn’t do a social media announcement as I use FB mostly for work and we kinda felt it wasn’t necessary. If I had done one, I’d have done it when we were around 14-16 weeks.

We won’t be sharing on social media, but decided to share personally with friends and family early on because if we do have a miscarriage I would want their support. I also already love this little babe, so if something were to happen it would give me joy to know that I wasn’t the only who knew and that my little one was loved by others as well

If you think that it is too early then tell her to take the post down. Most people wait until after the first trimester because that’s when your chance of miscarrying drops, and they wait especially if they’ve moscarried before, but ultimately it’s up to you. If you havent announced on facebook I would tell her to stop posting about it.

I personally waited till I was past 12 weeks. I announced at 15 weeks on social media. I had 2 miscarriages last year. wouldn't want to explain that to everyone.

I didn’t announce on social media at all until after my son was born but I announced to my mom as soon as I got a positive and the rest of our families at 9 weeks! I felt like that was good timing for us because we were able to show off the first ultrasounds and it made it more real for everyone.

For my first I didn’t tell anyone until I gave birth. The only persons that knew were my parents and DH’s parents. I can get away with it because I live in a different country. 
But, I agree with everyone, do what feels right for you. If you don’t want anyone to know, that’s your right. They will know when you want them to and it’s not up to anyone to change that.

I personally wouldn’t post it to everybody on Facebook quite yet due to the chance that, yes, chances of a miscarriage are higher that early on and you wouldn’t want to have to inform everyone of your miscarriage if the worst happened (not saying it will). 
I think you should definitely tell a few close friends/family if you’d like ☺️ just be cautious when posting on social media
