Do you believe that people have the ability to “jinx” or “evil eye” you?

Do you believe that humans are capable of ruining your life simply by their jealousy or hateful energy towards you? 
For instance, you’re getting married, buying a house, having a child, or something exciting has happened in your life, would you want to keep it on the down low in fear of bad energy coming towards you and ruining it? Or do you not believe in it? 
I personally do believe in it. I also believe that some people’s negative energy is strong enough to destroy another persons health or even kill them.

Yea I believe it. Our auroras and energy are a lot more powerful than we think. In our culture we have newborns wear a red ribbon on their wrist to keep that away since their most vulnerable so young.

No, I don’t believe any of that. I generally try to be positive and I’m vocal about it. If something good is happening in my life, I say it because I’m happy about it and I talk about things that make me happy.

It's believed a lot and very strongly where I live (we call it olho gordo, ir 'fat eye') but when I try to think about it... If that was true we would never ever amount to anything good because we're so exposed to negative people all the goddamn time. 
I do believe though that we tend to become more negative about stuff when there are people around us spreading it (like, you're trying to get a promotion and there's someone who keeps saying you're not good enough for it), and I think that state of mind can sabotage a person.

I don’t believe other people’s ugliness can negatively effect things in my life - like a house purchase or a baby - but I do believe energy is powerful and has the ability to suck the joy out of lives, I stay far away from those people.

My culture believes in it. "Mal de ojo" is what they call it. I don't really believe it bc I feel like it's more of a superstition. If the evil eye was real, no one would be rich, successful or happy bc we are always surrounded by jealous ppl, even if they don't mean to be jealous. I know I've seen ferraris on the road and felt jealous 😂 so it's not something I believe in but my family believes in it. My mom actually firmly believes my infertility is from the evil eye. I just think sometimes bad things happen and ppl try make sense of it by trying to find an explanation or cause, and there isn't one.

No, I don’t believe in the evil eye.
I believe it’s a superstition to explain why bad things happen even to good people. It gives people more sense of control to avoid bad things (ie if I don’t tell people about my happy news I’ll be protected).
Sometimes people who are jealous can do things that harm you, but I don’t think just “negative energy” impacts others.
